Terms of Service

Last updated: January 1, 2026

These Terms of Service constitute a legal agreement between you and the operator of Deloc (the "Company"). Legal entity details are available at deloc.dev/legal/entity.

1. Service Description

Deloc ("the Service") is a static web application hosting platform. We allow users to upload and publicly host static files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, and other browser-renderable assets) and receive a shareable URL. The Service does not execute server-side code.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all content published through your account and all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

We reserve the right to reclaim usernames and subdomains that are inactive, infringing, or misleading (such as impersonating a company or brand you do not represent).

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to host phishing pages, malware, crypto miners, illegal content, or any content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details. We reserve the right to remove content and disable accounts that violate these terms.

4. Service Availability

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime guarantee or service level agreement (SLA) for free-tier accounts. Paid plans may include SLA commitments as specified in your subscription agreement. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability and will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice.

Free-tier accounts that remain inactive (no deploys, no logins) for 90 consecutive days may be subject to account deletion after notice. We will attempt to notify you by email before deleting an inactive account.

5. Data Storage

Files you upload are stored on Cloudflare R2 infrastructure. Metadata (account information, app configuration, usage metrics) is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon. We do not guarantee indefinite retention of files on the free tier — apps may expire after 30 days of inactivity. Paid plans include persistent storage as described in your plan.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Deloc a limited license to host, serve, and cache your content as necessary to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or if your account is used for abusive purposes. You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Upon termination, your hosted content will be removed and your URLs will stop resolving.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Deloc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Deloc, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you upload or publish through the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party. This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware or the federal courts located in the District of Delaware. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.

Before filing any claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting [email protected]. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may proceed with formal legal action.

11. Copyright & DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content hosted on Deloc infringes your copyright, submit a takedown notice to [email protected] with the following information: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing material and its URL on Deloc; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized; (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf; (f) your physical or electronic signature.

We will respond to valid notices promptly and may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

12. Refunds & Cancellation

Paid subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected] within 30 days of the charge.

13. Third-Party Content

The Service may contain links to or display content hosted by third parties. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, sites, or services. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and the third party.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
